Eric Reimer was born and raised in Eastern Washington State. He attended Washington State University in Pullman, studying Biology and Pharmacy. While in school, he sold stock photography to magazines and websites to help pay for tuition. After graduating from WSU, his continued interest in photography and science led him to explore the natural features of Washington State. In the summer of 2008 he moved to Alaska in pursuit of a woman. He fell in love with her and the State and decided to stay.
